Faculty

Every day, research faculty within the six colleges at Georgia Tech are working to solve real-world issues that manufacturers face at their plants. If you need assistance on a project that involves in-depth research and cutting-edge innovation, let GaMEP connect you to on-campus faculty.

Interdisciplinary Research Institutes

Georgia Tech is home to 11 Interdisciplinary Research Institutes (IRIs) responsible for bringing together a multidisciplinary mix of researchers around a single core research area. Contact GaMEP to connect with the IRI that best fits your need: Bioengineering and Bioscience, Data Engineering and Science, Energy, Manufacturing, Matter and Systems, People and Technology, Renewable Bioproducts, Robotics, or Sustainable Systems.

Students

Georgia Tech Co-Op Program

Georgia Tech co-op students work full-time for alternating semesters to gain knowledge and experience, while also providing meaningful contributions in the workplace. The co-op program is an accredited academic program managed by the Office of Undergraduate Education. Many manufacturing companies find great value in employing co-op students and often extend offers for full-time employment after graduation. Contact GaMEP for help getting started.

Capstone Program

Manufacturers of all sizes have the opportunity to partner with Georgia Tech senior-year engineering students to find innovative and creative solutions to specific problems. Companies provide a semester-long capstone design project, interact with their student teams throughout the program, and see a final presentation of the design at the Capstone Design Expo, where student teams display their solutions in competition with other teams for cash prizes. GaMEP can help connect you to the right college for your project.
