Championing the Industry
Beyond the work we do directly with manufacturing companies, GaMEP also serves as a champion for the industry. Through plant tours, public relations campaigns, and local and statewide manufacturing advocacy, GaMEP tells the stories of Georgia manufacturing to communities, policymakers, stakeholders, and industry. By doing so, we promote the importance of a strong manufacturing base for Georgia’s economy, create awareness for manufacturing innovation, and build a stronger and more diverse workforce pipeline.

Workforce Initiatives
GaMEP helps to promote and support various workforce development programs in Georgia, from National Manufacturing Day, an annual celebration of manufacturing careers, to Project Purpose, a program that helps high school students prepare for and connect to local industry opportunities. By showcasing the career opportunities available in the industry, we help create a stronger workforce of the future.
Supporting Manufacturing
Throughout the U.S. As part of the 51-center MEP National Network™, GaMEP shares your successes with other MEP centers, federal legislators, and policymakers. In addition, issues relevant to a specific industry sector or supply chain can be addressed in national forums. We also can share the needs of SMEs in Georgia to the Manufacturing USA Institutes, which are designed to accelerate U.S. manufacturing as a whole.
