Georgia AIM

Explore Georgia Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing (Georgia AIM) Industry 4.0 and Cybersecurity solutions, including education, demos, and support!

In 2022, the Economic Development Administration awarded Georgia Tech a Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant to advance Georgia Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing (Georgia AIM). This initiative involves several diverse partners and projects that promote artificial intelligence in manufacturing through artificial intelligence integration, economic development, education programs, talent development, technology research, and more.

Our commitment to Georgia AIM includes offering comprehensive education, interactive demonstrations, and technical support in Cybersecurity and Industry 4.0, focusing on small- and medium-sized manufacturers in rural and underserved areas.

Industry 4.0 Demonstrations

Industry 4.0 revolutionizes manufacturing by eliminating mundane tasks, enhancing productivity, increasing quality, minimizing manual labor, preventing downtime, reducing inefficiencies, saving costs, streamlining operations, and more.

We provide smart manufacturing technology demonstrations at the Georgia Tech Advanced Manufacturing Pilot Facility (AMPF), where manufacturers can explore practical solutions to common challenges and learn how to implement them in their operations.

  • Asset health monitoring: Prevent downtime and save costs with this technology that uses sensors and software to monitor equipment condition and performance by collecting real-time data, such as pressure, temperature, and vibration.

  • Autonomous mobile robot (AMR): Minimize manual labor and streamline operations with this compact and customizable robot that uses cameras, sensors, and software to safely transport materials up to 2,000 kg.

  • Collaborative robot (cobot): Eliminate mundane tasks and enhance productivity with this user-friendly and versatile robot that uses sensors and software to safely work alongside employees in assembly, handling, packaging, welding, and more.

  • Industrial cybersecurity: Improve awareness and strengthen preparedness with this technology that simulates cyber threats that may lead to malware, ransomware, and more.

  • Smart manufacturing learning system: Advance innovation and develop new skills with this educational technology that uses hardware and software to educate and train employees on smart manufacturing practices and technologies.
